Box of books are the books Ray will be using when he does his Book Study every Tuesday, except for the 1st Tuesday of each month.
Lots of laughs with Stacy and Ann today.

Stacy and Ann in Borders.

Needs no caption!

Stacy likes to get ME.

Ok, who knows who this is? Hint, tomorrow she leaves for Colorado for 3 months. Boo hoo.

Yup, you guessed right. It's Stacy. Maybe my posting this photo of her will convince her to be obedient in front of the lens for me. NOT.

Vicki and her gals, Kim and Roberta.
Last night, Kim was wearing a very cool skirt. I told Mary Kay I liked the skirt. She said Kim got it at Old Navy. I said, “I want one.” Mary Kay said she’d get me one.
Next morning, this morning, at 6am before we started hiking, MK hands me the skirt she bought at Old Navy the night before (after the meeting, before Old Navy closed at 9pm). (Our meeting got out at 8:00pm.)
It turns out the skirt was a big hit the night before at the meeting as MK told me she got some other orders for the skirt too.
Fast forward to 6pm tonight……..I’m dressed in my new Old Navy skirt ready to go to dinner with Stacy, Sandi, Joan and MK. Stacy is meeting me at my place and then we’re picking up Sandi and Joan.
Stacy arrives. Wearing MY skirt. She’d bought it the week before.
Hence this photo taken in front of the ABC club where MK spoke tonight.
The best part of this story is the skirt was on sale and only cost $22. Stacy is going back to buy the same skirt in black and I’ve placed my order for a medium black one too.

Same skirt night.
….I still can’t get email to work on my Blackberry cell phone using my regular email. I MUST surrender to get my life back. Troubleshooting this problem has probably consumed 3 full days in total now. I am powerless over getting this fixed until my web server gets back from the Photography World Expo he is attending.
An upper level Verizon tech set my Blackberry up with an old gmail address I have so I can mobile blog when I hit the trail on the 11 day PCT backpack I leave on next week. My regular computer guy has just joined the Service and I’ll be meeting with his replacement tomorrow to help me set up the new gmail email to work with WordPress (which is what I use to blog). I wish I were more self sufficient in these matters, but I’m just not and never will be. Over the last few weeks that I have repeatedly talked to people trying to troubleshoot this problem I have become knowledgeable about terminology but that’s not enough.
While working at my desk, since early morning and still in my jammies, Stacy and Jim and their Grandkids drove by in their golf carts wearing ORANGE!!!! Where were they last week when I had the Orange Photomotivation assignment.

Grammie and Gramps Jacobs and their Grandkids.

Went out to photograph Stacy and Jim's Grandkids in my jammies (at noon!) when I spotted them driving by,
Found this message when we reached the top of the hill this morning. A backpacking friend calls this trail graffiti. But Stacy and I wanted to take our pictures with the I love you. I think Stacy is going to use another one of the seated poses I shot for her husband’s Valentine card.
OMG, Stacy made this video for her grandchild Riley. Stacy and Jim (Stacy’s husband) couldn’t attend Riley’s upcoming cowboy themed birthday party held out of state. So Stacy, in very little time, created this short birthday video with Jim for Riley. Jim was really a sport.
Last summer Stacy took a short video course in Colorado (that LR’s son Ryan taught), but other than what she produced during this course, Stacy really has limited experience shooting a video. You have to watch this video when you have about 9 minutes. It is hilarious and very creative. Great job Stacy.

Don’t forget to watch the outtakes. They are even funnier.
As I’m writing this blog entry, Ray’s cracking up watching the video for the 2nd time.
In a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones, finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.
