Wow Linda -
I just caught up with you (on your blog that is) I've been a little behind. I love the photos, especially Mr. Bunny, but the flowers are really beautiful too. I love what you wrote about fear and learning, I really identify with you there and am so inspired by you and how you continue to grow and be free. It's what we all want, right?
I love you.

Thanks so much Alfred. I like your color association. It was not intentional but now I will be thinking of breast cancer awareness when I look at the bandana.

....... LJ, Ok I have witnesses.........No More Gear!!
Everyone saw this, right...I pinched myself and wasn't dreaming. I never thought I would see that in print. Oh it just warms the recesses of my old heart.

Somehow I sensed we were on the verge of something, which is why I restrained myself from commenting on your showering with McHale (I mean McHale pack). Although I think that's worthy of a Backpacking article, possibly titled "Pack Bonding" or "Its a Better Fit Wet". But I mentioned not commenting on your showering with your pack, even though I've never heard of anyone showering with their pack (with or without trail runners on?) Does a person wear gaiters when showering with their pack? Is there pack bathing etiquette? Soap pack first or last? Do you give a pack a clean towel? Brand new territory here LJ.
Alas, my job here is done. No more gear, wow ...a breakthrough!

Hi Gottago! I will be hiking the PCT this year starting at the ADZPCTKO, but will not be finishing due to time constraints. Regarding the color, I have to say that I associate the color pink with breast cancer awareness. Don't know if this was intentional or not, but you are sending a good message nonetheless. Anyway, I think hikers are an appreciative bunch on the whole and I don't think there will be a negative reaction at all to your color choice.

I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday (April 5) than with you and JJ, heading north from the Mexican border. Right now I can't see how I can do it. But Tailwinds never gives up. If I can get my goals met by the end of the month, and I'm making a 100% effort to do so, I'll be there. If not, I can at least say I tried my best. If I'm NOT there in person, I will definitely be there in spirit. I love you both.

Ok, now I can rest. You love the color!

I'm surprised the KO organizers were surprised. Meadow Ed has known the color for a while:-)

Can't wait to see you Carl. I'll be backpacking from the Border home, leaving April 5th and will have some extra bandanas in my pack in case I run into some early hikers who will not be coming back to the KO.

I love it! Bold and daring, yet it complements any hiking ensemble!

The news surprised several at yesterday's meeting of KO organizers, but I didn't hear any outwardly negative reactions.

Well, Linda--

I see in your photo that you have the NEW, IMPROVED 2010 PCT BANDANA! It's gorgeous. The guys on the trail this year are going to love it. I can't wait to get mine in April.
