Welcome!

Linda JeffersIn a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones, finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.

Come join me on my journey!

More Moo.

Hey Moo.

Hey Melissa, are you hiking tomorrow morning?

Morning Catch.

Hawk got its catch and I got mine:-)

A Friend’s Christmas Eve Wedding.

Ray and I attended Susan and Andrew’s wedding in Las Vegas. They hired a photographer to shoot their wedding and family shots following the wedding but I photographed the before and after the wedding shots for Susan and Andrew. The pressure was off me and I had fun practicing all I’ve been learning about on camera bounced flash shooting. I loved the safe environment that allowed me to get some practice shooting events.

We Teach to Learn.

As I learn how to shoot on camera bounce flash, I pass it on to Jen, which is really helping me realize what I know and don't know!

Fun night.

First business.

Then some flash lighting practice.

And lastly, the Jim and Stacy show.

Shooting Sunset Before I Forgot I Was Sick.

Jen doing what only she knows how to do, jump high.

A way overexposed photo of Jen I treated with a LR preset.

Jen was out working some off camera flash and shot this fun photo of me.

It’s a Black and White Kinda Day.

One Stop Bracketed Shots To HDR.

San Jacinto.

The progression of light on yesterday morning’s hike BEFORE I got the flu yesterday around noon. I knew I had no energy and felt way off on the way up the hill but once this glorious red-pink light began I felt momentarily high.

At this point in our hike (photo below) we were headed back with San Jacinto behind us. The color was really nice in front of us but thank goodness I turned back and spotted the pink over SJ. I turned around and ran back up the hill for a better vantage point, knowing the color would only last for a minute.

Day’s intension turned to self obsession.

More practice with on-camera flash on my friend Stacy.

Now it's Stacy's time to capture my sassy look.
