Love this Happy, Joyous, Free Cross I spotted on the way home from Susan’s Wedding Shower on Sunday.

Used some Lightroom presets on this cross I noticed and photographed while driving home after a wonderful day in LA.

Up and out early shooting around the lake at the Lake Morena Campground.

I arrived at the Annual Day Zero Pacific Crest Kickoff Weekend at Lake Morena Campground on Thursday knowing I’d be shooting a lot. Seven hundred+ photos later I think I might have overdone it. Both Friday and Saturday morning I was out shooting just before 6am. Typically the morning fog makes for great shots. I was almost skunked both mornings but was forced to look elsewhere for photos.

Below are some of the hikers I met early Saturday morning while out near the lake.

Meet Phoebe or "Little Bit" who is 14 years old. She hiked 1,000 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail last year with her mom. What a sweetheart.

Little Bit.

This is Tall Paul. He has hiked most of the Long Distance Hiking Trails many times.

Tall Paul's dog. I promised I'd send him the photos I shot and played with this one by blending it with one of the ShadowHouse Creation free textures I'm using for my Photomontage class.

OneRockFish, a 2011 PCT through-hiker.

I met Hannes (from Germany) the same time I met OneRockfish. Hannes is through hiking too.

Hannes, knowing the photographer rarely has photos of themself, photographed me using my camera.

I've known Crash most of the years I've been backpacking. He is a fellow photog. We had fun shooting together.
