Linda JeffersIn a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones, finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.

Come join me on my journey!

Frozen Lake in Jasper, Canada

Just taking a few stolen moments to look back over a few of the photos I shot on my trip to Jasper last month.

Yesterday on the B & G.

Melissa and Mario nearing the end of our hike.

Discussions of what time we are hiking tomorrow are going on right now!

Revisiting the Bump & Grind.

Late afternoon on the B & G. We met some friends with the same intent in mind.

We wondered if we'd meet Mario on the hike as he is a regular.

Mario took this picture of Melissa, Jen and me on my first day hiking in heat.

And on our way down, guess who had a day off......Diana walking with her hubby, Brian.

Dusty and Noah.

A Guessing Game.

Who knows who the two children in the center are?

Hike Yesterday

We are getting close to being trail ready. Ten miles, fully loaded packs.

Good Morning.

I haven’t gotten out early with my camera in a long time, but this morning, after having seen some color in the dark morning sky while saying good bye to Quincy, I went back inside the house, picked up the camera and walked out the back door, wearing the pjs I slept in, to shoot this little gem of color, before I headed back into the house after noticing neighbors walking towards me on their morning dog walks.

Almost Home.

Evening backpack/hike.

When Jen emailed asking if anyone wanted to go for a 6pm hike tonight, I couldn’t say no. Even though I worked out with my trainer this morning, I’m feeling behind the gun with backpacking mileage training. It was a balmy evening and I would have loved to have just keep hiking, but I’d made Chili and Ray was waiting for dinner. I was in Packvanna as Yogi calls it when your pack feels perfect on your back (which unfortunately isn’t always the case).

Happy Face and Just Kidding out for an evening backpack.

How Jen gets the elevation she does is beyond me.
