Just taking a few stolen moments to look back over a few of the photos I shot on my trip to Jasper last month.
Late afternoon on the B & G. We met some friends with the same intent in mind.
We are getting close to being trail ready. Ten miles, fully loaded packs.
I haven’t gotten out early with my camera in a long time, but this morning, after having seen some color in the dark morning sky while saying good bye to Quincy, I went back inside the house, picked up the camera and walked out the back door, wearing the pjs I slept in, to shoot this little gem of color, before I headed back into the house after noticing neighbors walking towards me on their morning dog walks.
When Jen emailed asking if anyone wanted to go for a 6pm hike tonight, I couldn’t say no. Even though I worked out with my trainer this morning, I’m feeling behind the gun with backpacking mileage training. It was a balmy evening and I would have loved to have just keep hiking, but I’d made Chili and Ray was waiting for dinner. I was in Packvanna as Yogi calls it when your pack feels perfect on your back (which unfortunately isn’t always the case).
Click here to see the cute photo Jen took of me and Braden.
In a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones, finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.
