Welcome!

Linda JeffersIn a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones, finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.

Come join me on my journey!

Old chollas are still pretty.

Jerry Jones of ShadowCreations has his best textures (for photomontage) on another website. If you follow the link you’ll find his Entropy Texture Sets. I used Entrophy-2 blended with this old piece of cholla cactus Yogi liked when we were in Joshua Tree.

Two photos blended together.

Tomorrow I’m off to the ADZPCTKO weekend at Lake Morena. Annual Day Zero Pacific Crest Trail kickoff. I will be camping and if I have reception I’ll post some Iphone photos.

Have a great weekend.

Photo from trip to Joshua Tree yesterday.

A shot of Yogi climbing (posing on) a windmill in Joshua Tree yesterday.

This photo was blended with the Raggety Paper Set Texture by Jerry Jones, found free at http://shadowhousecreations.blogspot.com/search/label/Texture%20Set.

Great time in Joshua Tree National Park today.

Joshua Tree. Cholla cactus.

Yogi giving me some poses.

Inside one of the many old gold mines.

We hit a good wildflower bloom.

Yogi inside one of the old abandoned trucks.

Yogi’s here.

It’s late and wanted something on my blog. Yogi and I walked around the golf course tonight and I shot off a few frames of the baby geese. Each day there are fewer and fewer baby geese.

Three of the six photomontages I uploaded for Assignment #4.

One of the Photomontage assignments I uploaded today.

Oregon coast, Thanksgiving 2009. Sister Leila, Brother in laws, Walid and Dennis (Leila's husband).

Photomontage of an old lake reflection, using a texture to create an aged photo look.

Is Geeselings a word?

We have some geeselings.

My favorite.

Charlie P. passed yesterday.

Willie passed 1/25/11, and now Charlie is gone too.

Ray and I spent 4 days every year with our friends Charlie P. and Willie B. at a seminar in Sacramento from 1991 to 2005. These two special people have influenced the course of my life, and my husband’s life, tremendously. They will be alive, as they made things “come alive” for us, forever.

Charlie P, born April 8, 1921, died yesterday. Charlie was our friend and mentor. He will live on in our hearts, memories and words.

Ray, Willie B. (9/24/24 - 1/25/11), Charlie P. (8/8/21 - 4/21/11) and Linda, Sacramento, CA, September 18, 2004..........Two of the most influenential people in our lives.

Book of Memories for Charlie.

Playing with our cameras throughout the day.

Peter chimping his shots this morning.

Yum.

Can you tell Lane knew I was shooting him.

The fly is almost as large as the bird.

Needs no caption.

Lane.

Playing tourist with my son and Peter.

Guess where I went today!

How fun. Lane and Peter were willing subjects.

Silly Peter.

Peter and Lane shopping for their ladies.

Nicole, you'll have to wait to find out what Lane bought you.

We pulled over on the way home and worked the yellow flowers for about a half hour. Loved it.

Lane found this sign. I didn't get it at first......village idiot!

My son and his friend Peter are here.

Yeah, Lane is here!

Lane directing my off camera flash, creating his favorite portrait of himself!

Lane waiting patiently for my camera to focus in the low light family room.

Lane's friend Peter. Lane and Peter just got back from having been on my brother's yacht in some apparently very sunny weather.
