In a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones, finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.

This was the 2nd morning I got up at 5:40am and took my camera and tripod out into the dark on the beach hoping for some nice morning light. I’m hoping I got some good shots.
I took some panorama shots, overlapping each one in succession by almost 50 percent. The first frame I shot was out in the ocean a hundred yards to the north of my sister’s beach house. I kept panning the camera (on a tripod) inland shooting the beach houses, and moving to th right, including the ocean south, (about 7 frames in total). At home, Adobe Photoshop will do its wonders and photomerge all the photos. After some cropping I’ll hopefully have produced one single panorama for my sister and Dennis.
It’s been fantastic spending this Thanksgiving holiday with all my family. It’s 10pm. Don and Colleen left around 1pm today. My sister Ginny, Walid, and their four kids – Ramsey, Lena, Zane and Dean have just left for the airport. Ray and I have a flight home tomorrow at 11am. Lane stays at Leila’s until Tuesday.
As much as I thoroughly enjoyed our family visit I’m looking forward to getting back home to some moderate eating. Boy, my family eats all day long.
I know my hubby will be happy to get home. We really are happy with and miss are normal routines.
I’ve promised my family I’d put all the photos I shot of everyone up in the Portfolio section of my website. That means I’ll be busy selecting and weeding out keepers from the 600 photos I shot.
