Welcome!

Linda JeffersIn a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones, finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.

Come join me on my journey!

The Virtue Family again this year!

My friend writes:
I know it’s a repeat from last year …… but I just couldn’t resist. Enjoy.

Outside my dining room window!

I’ve started eating better recently. I sit down at the dining room table to eat. I don’t read. I don’t talk on the phone (much). I pay attention to the food as I’m eating.

Because I wasn’t doing lots of other things while eating lunch I noticed out of the corner of my eye when the hawk landed on top of the umbrella. I couldn’t believe it. A hawk right outside my window.

I have a dream of someday living in the wilderness (like some people I know) where the animals roam freely. I see myself sitting outside on the porch, with my camera and tripod set up, ready and excited to photograph the wildlife as they meander by.

Life is good.

Heidi and I previewed the upcoming Saturday Mission Hills CC hiking group hike on the Art Smith Trail this morning.

Pretty cool Palm Oasis #1 and, further on, #2 up the dry, desert Art Smith Trail on Highway 74 below the San Jacinto mountains.

Saturday morning at 7:30am we will drive to the trailhead for the 2nd hike of the season with the MHCC hiking group. Last week there were only 4 of us who hiked out of the 102 people on the Hiking Roster. Hmmmmm. I have a goal to get more hikers involved. To be continued…..

Isn’t Heidi cute?

Santa Fe, New Mexico Photography Workshop Class Photos are up.

Our photography teacher, Carol Leigh, posted the 5 best of all of the photos she and all of us students shot.

A little giddy at the end of our visit to the Getty yesterday.

Almost out of the Getty, I felt the need to do one more video. Stacy is always a great subject. I saw the stage and asked Stacy to sing. She sang her Grammy song. I love Stacy. She always makes me laugh. I bet you can’t watch this video and not smile!
